Does the Implant Procedure Hurt?
This implant procedure is carried out under local anesthesia, so patients experience little to no pain at all. Some discomfort or a pulling feeling is expected, but that’s the extent of it. Mild pain medications are prescribed for post-surgery pain and swelling. You can also ice the surgical site to reduce the swelling.
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots fitted in place of the missing tooth. The implant process can last up to six months, but the results are permanent and durable.
